"Common Sense" Transforms the Colonies

Going from aggrieved Britons to American Revolutionaries did not happen overnight, nor was it accidental.  The publication of the pamphlet "Common Sense" which happened Jan 9, 1776 kickstarted the Revolution.  It was an important step needed to move the struggle forward.  Read about it in This Day in History HERE.

History.com has a succinct way of explaining its importance to our Founders and the citizenry at large, although an almost equal number of Tories remained in the Colonies even after the 4th of July, 1776.  Without the Patriots of the Revolution, George Washington and the Continental Army prevailing, the world would be a lot different place today.

What a country!
