In support of Hank Williams Jr's Freedom of Speech, my wife and I are watching DWTS tonight, then DVR programs, instead of MNF. If those dweebs want to be pc, so can I. Since ABC airs DWTS, is the parent company of ESPN and is owned by Disney, it will not make a dent in the galactic scheme of things, but I feel better about myself not supporting those hypocrites with double standards.
Guess what? Did they ever censure anyone, on their payroll or not, who called for the assassination of Dubya, Reagan, Rush or anyone not a Liberal?
See this excerpt from Fox and Friends HERE to hear first hand what Hank Jr said. Some intemperate words, to be sure and definitely not politically correct. But, he has the right to say anything stupid, scandalous or sensational. The Fox and Friends trio tried to dampen his statements, but he was determined to get his point of view out. And did you notice that he supported Herman Cain?
Did Alec Baldwin suffer at all for screeching on air that Dennis Hastert and his whole family needed killing? The Speaker of the House? Really, Alec? Seriously? So now he stars in a TV series, has commercials on the air ad nauseum and profits from his fame and notoriety. Hank Jr is no Ted Nugent, but he has every right to speak his mind. And don't even get me started on Michael Moore.
As for the ESPN weenies, they run and hide from controversy whenever it crops up. Remember how they dumped Rush in a heartbeat, after three days, for his comments about the media in Philly wanting Donovan McNabb to succeed? No one on the set at the time or immediately afterward raised any concerns. It was only after the drumbeat of the Liberal press started that they fired him and went on to diss him when he tried to become a part owner of an NFL franchise later on. They had no problems attributing made-up quotes about race to Rush and fan the flames of racism to keep him out of the league. Hypocrites.
The first I heard of this Hank Jr controversy was when they sanctimoniously read the corporate statement on the Monday Night Countdown show. Click HERE to read their weasel words.
