Carl Dykman, another participant in a weekly Friday Morning Coffee and Bible Study, researches and writes on Islam. Here is one of his latest essays:
AMERICA’S ENEMIES
America has had a few major enemies in its history: the English in the American Revolution; the English in the War of 1812; the Germans in 1910, the Germans in 1940's, the Japanese in 1940’s, The North Koreans in 1950’s, North Viet Nam in 1960’s.
There is yet another war, albeit, benign and unheralded. This war began in1776 when the United States came into being as a Christiannation. This is really an extension of a war that had its inception when the Koran was dictated in the late 600’s AD. Surah 191 reads thusly: “And kill them (infidels) wherever you find them.” That seems to fit a declaration of war against ALL unbelievers (Christian, Jews and other non-Muslims). Also see Surahs 190, 193 and Surah 9:5. (Surah references are to those in the Noble translation of the Koran.)
War is usually not a single party proposition. War has two sides; in the case of the war declared by Islam they represent one side and the rest of the world, the infidels and other unbelievers make up the other part of the equation. In the eyes of Islam those who resist or deny Islam are the aggressors!!!!!!In other words we, the infidels etc, are the enemy of Islam. Since the infidels are the enemy of Islam by sheer reason, Islam is the enemy of the infidels.
If the Muslims are the enemy of the infidels, then all of the Muslims in the world are enemies of all of the world’s infidels! That consideration has great impact upon the Muslims living in the United States. If the Muslims of the world are enemies of the infidels, then all of the Muslims living in America are enemies of the United States.
Give some thought to the gravity of the last half of the previous sentence. America has enemies within its boundaries, a large number of enemies. An enemy has no rights or privileges. There should no guarantees for the enemy (Muslims) associated with residence in America.
Complications of initiating and continuing a program of identification of the enemy are enormous, however the benefits to the United States far outweigh the initial difficulties. Typical is the use of the provisions of the Doctrine of Takiya. The main theme of the doctrine is that a Muslim may not, cannot lie to another Muslim, but it is also alright to lie to an infidel because an infidel has no status in Islam.
Another problem that must be faced is that of negotiations. The Muslim is a past master at the art. However, it would seem that as the enemy, Islam would not have right to negotiate any part of the conduct of the war against them.
