Gotta love Ann. She has a way of getting the nub of things and splashing reality on our faces. Here's her latest Townhall column on the Presidential primaries.
Her best point is that the purists who stayed home in 2008 not only gave us Goofy in the White House but a Congress that would, and did, pass everything he wanted, at least for the first two years of this administration.
Well, she is right. Stay home because the Presidential candidate of your party is not everything you want him to be and you might as well have voted for Dumbo. Let's face it, if any President did everything exactly as I wanted, it would be me hearing Hail to the Chief walking into every ballroom I entered.
Come back to Earth, people. There was only one perfect man and they nailed him to the Cross. He died for our sins, so do you seriously expect the same of any candidate who wants your vote? What are you doing about it?
How about working to contain voter fraud to keep the steamroller powered by ACORN, the unions, George Soros and other Leftwing mongrels from corrupting our election process, hmmm? What are you doing about that? Nothing? That is what I thought.
If you don't like Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, Herman Cain or anyone else willing to put their necks and families on the line, what are you willing to do? Contribute to the candidate of your choice? Bet you don't even do that much.
Turning your back on the Party that is closer to your values than any other is not the answer. Get out and vote. Get others out to vote. Keep the cheaters and spoilers from having their way. That is what you can do. Just do it.
