Definition of Irony

Isn't It Ironic?

The food stamp program, part of the Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be distributing the greatest amount of food stamps ever.

Meanwhile, the Park Service, also part of the Department of Agriculture, asks us to "please do not feed the animals" because the animals may grow dependent and not learn to take care of themselves.

My good friend Sylvia got this from her Pastor. He calls it "Booster Shot" and it sure does apply to the above:

You were born to fly.

You were not born into the family of God to lay around the nest all day and let others feed, shelter, clothe and protect you. You were born to spread your wings of faith, with feathers of knowledge, and the experience of life’s storms in order to be an example of courage and trust in the higher power of God’s wind (Holy Spirit) that will bear you up above every storm of life as you learn His ways. If things are going wrong in your life, it may be that God is stirring your nest (Deut. 32:11) to motivate you to apply His promises, principles, and purpose in your life. He is that wind beneath your wings and your wings are the many truths God has given you that will not fail you in times of storms. You are not alone. His Spirit will lift you as you apply those truths in your life and learn to trust God in all the issues of life that you will surely face. Spread your wings today and soar in His love and strength.
